 is a poet, writer, facilitator, empowerment coach, and community engagement consultant. She was Croydon's first Poet Laureate from 2020-24. Her work has been featured in the National Portrait Gallery, Magma, and more.

Mara is a Romanian film producer and founder of melancholiapictures. Her projects have received international recognition with official selections at festivals and institutions including Torino Film Festival, BFI Flare, DocuDays, the Hollywood Women’s Film Institute and others. She is also a Forbes 30 under 30 recipient.
