Get that Funding: Arts Council

12th May, 6.00pm - 7.30pm, Online

Everything you need to know about Arts Council funding, and how to get it.

Arts Council England is going through one of its biggest periods of change in years. New system, new strategy, a new application process for DYCP.

If you've been putting off applying, or had a knock-back and aren't sure why, this is the workshop for you. Bid writer and arts funding consultant Lara Monro is hosting a practical, no-jargon session covering everything you need to know to give your application the best possible chance.

What we'll cover:

  • Who can apply, which disciplines ACE supports, eligibility rules, and what's changed

  • ACE's new Strategic Framework and what it means for your application right now

  • What types of projects and activities they fund (and some important nuances)

  • The Do's and Don'ts of writing a strong application, straight from experience reviewing hundreds of them

  • How to access free support with your application if you identify as neurodivergent or have any invisible or visible disability

Lara Monro is a freelance bid writer, access support worker, and journalist with over ten years of experience working across the arts and cultural sectors. She founded Working With, a consulting platform offering bid writing, access support assistance, and creative mentoring, and over the last three years has supported more than 300 creative practitioners and arts organisations, raising over £500,000 in successful grant applications

Please note: The ticket gives you access to a recording of this workshop for seven days.
