Founder, Other Day

Having worked overseas in a large factory and returning to the UK to launch her own ethically Made in Britain luxury swimwear brand in 2009, Jodi understands the complexities of creating a brand and business with strong values.

For the past 8 years, she has worked across communications and marketing helping fashion technology start-ups to connect with their audience in a meaningful way.

Feeling the need to explore and push forward the conversation around sustainability in fashion, in 2017 Jodi founded Black Neon Digital an independent editorial and podcast platform. Black Neon Digital has since flourished into a communications and sustainability consultancy that helps founders and businesses to build brands with integrity.

As Partner and Communications Director at Fashion Roundtable, Jodi works to ensure there is effective dialogue between the fashion industry and policy leaders.

After years of striving to find out what ‘sustainability’ means for the fashion industry, Jodi feels there has to be a way to make it easier for brands and consumers to understand what they make and buy. And importantly what impact their decision making has on society and the planet. She came up with the idea that a garment traffic light system - known as Project 2030 - could be the solution.

Ida’s background is in policy, advocacy and strategic communication for social impact, with organizations like the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Iran, the UN Relief & Works Agency for Palestine refugees in Lebanon, and Oxfam GB in the UK.
