OVERVIEW

One study reported that only 54% of women have access to mentors. Another found that 63% of women have never had a formal mentor.

All we know is: WE NEED TO DO MORE. So, we started our own programme.

Relationships open doors in our professional lives and our personal growth. In collaboration with their mentor, mentees will define their goals, finesse their skill set and expand their networks.

If you'd like to support our mentoring scheme or have us develop a bespoke programme for your company, get in touch.

What is a bespoke mentoring/ career development programme?

With our expertise, we will work with your company to define success goals, and outreach targets and create a unique mentoring and/or career development offer for your employees, community, and beyond.

Whether providing a framework for networking opportunities, enhancing skill development or preparing the ground for future growth opportunities – the benefits of our bespoke programmes are myriad.

A focus on mentorship and career development can improve employee mental health, retain high performers, and attract new talent, whilst improving employee engagement, fostering open communication, and promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Our service can include a full assessment, consultancy, and delivery of events and mentoring schemes, booking talent, and speakers and creating materials for your programme goals.

“I have worked with the I LIKE NETWORKING team over the last nine months and it has been a pleasure! They have always taken the time to think about the needs of the project and have gone above and beyond to help myself, the mentors and the mentees when needed.”

— Natalya Best-Forbes, Inclusive Talent Programmes Manager at Somerset House Trust

How is our mentoring scheme different?

A lot of mentoring programmes are focused on building your own company and while that is great, being an entrepreneur is not for everyone.

Our mentors help mentees in expanding their networks with a solid and individual approach. Mentors are there to support mentees to achieve their chosen career goals, whatever they may be.

Our mentoring programme is also international, which reflects the global creative sector.

A lot of other programmes focus on emerging talent with an age range, but we believe talent has no age limits. For women, this ageism can be especially detrimental if they have to take maternity leave for instance.

“Being a mentor at I Like Networking has been such a rewarding experience. From the network of brilliant individuals to the two-way learning curve that the exchange with my mentees has provided, the programme is proof that connecting with people brings you the most special growth opportunities.

The network is masterfully managed by Isabel, who somehow makes every single one of the members in its community feel special, included and valued, creating an environment of openness that favours genuine exchanges."
